DAN CHRISTIAN E. RAMOS (der@fmh.ph) obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the De La Salle University Manila Tañada-Diokno College of Law and was conferred with the Human Rights Award upon his graduation in 2019.  In 2020, he was admitted to the Philippine Bar and became an Associate of the firm and a member of its Arbitration Practice Group.  As an Associate, he has experience with construction disputes, contract drafting and review, due diligence for major commercial transactions, corporate secretarial work, arbitration, as well as civil, criminal, and administrative dispute resolution proceedings.  In 2022, he was appointed as the firm’s Development Manager for Arbitration.


Prior to this, he worked in the development sector as a Project Monitoring Officer of the Caucus of Development NGO Networks from 2013 to 2015.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of the Philippines in 2012.


As an advocate for arbitration, he served as a member of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators and its Programs and Advocacy Committees.  In such capacities, he was a part of the organizing committee for the Regional Arbitral Institute Forum in 2020 and was a co-editor of the PIArb Commercial Arbitration Handbook (2nd ed.).  In 2019, he also served as an Intern for 22 the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) INTERNATIONAL in Seoul, Republic of Korea.  In 2018, he served as a Speaker for the De La Salle University College of Law Team in the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Arbitration Competition held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.


As a human rights advocate, he volunteers as a legal researcher for public interest causes whenever the opportunity arises.  He was selected as one of the first Research Fellows for the Facts & Norms Institute, an international research organization with a focus on human rights and health.  He was one of the co-convenors of PIRMA Kapamilya, an organization that arose in response to the non-renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise. In 2016, he also served as an Intern for the Sentro ng Alternatibong Lingap Panligal.
