MA. LUZ CONCEPCION M. BALDUEZA received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines in 2014 and was admitted to the Bar in 2016. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines in 2010, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), having passed the certification examination administered by the IAPP.
Since joining the firm in 2015, Ms. Baldueza has been heavily involved in the Corporate, Commercial, Taxation and Data Privacy Consulting practice areas of the firm. She handles corporate housekeeping, corporate secretarial work, due diligence review for mergers and acquisitions, tax and corporate advisory work and tax litigation for the firm’s various corporate clients. She also has significant exposure in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
Most recently, in response to the growing interest in Data Privacy as a specialized field of legal practice, Ms. Baldueza has been immersed in the Data Privacy Consulting practice of the firm, providing end-to-end data privacy compliance solutions, which includes rendering advice on various data privacy issues, conducting data privacy compliance audits, reviewing vendor and subcontractor contracts, drafting privacy manuals and policies, and conducting data privacy briefings for various institutions.
